now been restructured and merged.
Previously, the guide was 850 lines long, covering anything and everything
from Docker installation to advanced tooling. While comprehensive, it was
often intimidating to follow for newcomers who just wanted to set up and
open
their first PR.
The guide has now been split into two parts:
1. 03a_contributors_quick_start_beginners.rst (new)
- A streamlines "5 minute" path for first PR
- Two options only: breeze and codespaces
- Minimal prerequisites and customising information mentioned
2. 03b_contributors_quick_start_seasoned_developers.rst
- Full guide for experienced developers
- This is basically the older detailed guide
This split is intended to lower the entry barrier for first time
contributors while
still serving developers who want full control of their setup.
