Hey Ben,

We run on the latest release currently. We're exploring how to run on
master in some of our environments as a way to test things out, though.

When running on the latest release, we cut an internal branch from the
release branch, and cherry pick some commits that are *ahead* of the
release, but still committed to master. This allows us to cherry pick
patches from the Apache master branch in cases where we have merged PRs
that we want to run ahead of a release.

Cheers,
Chris
