Looks good for a prototype to me. I think it helps illustrate the core principles. Few more comments on particulars:
* when clicking on the "gear" icon, a list of admin menu items would appear. Heith & I talked about this and decided it would be best for that list to appear exactly where you clicked, as an overlay (kinda like how right-click menus work). It would not be a dropdown or popout since that can get messy since we already have dropdowns for grouped items * Grouped sections (e.g. "External Link") would not be able to be renamed. Nor have a gear icon since there isn't a setting for that. They still can be moved though. * Anchored tools can still be configured so they should have a gear icon that is not disabled. (Even though they can't be moved or relabled) --- ** [tickets:#7917] Create a quick and dirty prototype for the new admin toolbar** **Status:** review **Milestone:** unreleased **Labels:** new-admin sf-current sf-2 **Created:** Fri Jul 10, 2015 06:37 PM UTC by Heith Seewald **Last Updated:** Wed Jul 15, 2015 03:00 PM UTC **Owner:** Heith Seewald **Attachments:** - [1.jpg](https://forge-allura.apache.org/p/allura/tickets/7917/attachment/1.jpg) (444.9 kB; image/jpeg) Create a rough prototype of the admin toolbar with an edit mode. --- Sent from forge-allura.apache.org because [email protected] is subscribed to https://forge-allura.apache.org/p/allura/tickets/ To unsubscribe from further messages, a project admin can change settings at https://forge-allura.apache.org/p/allura/admin/tickets/options.
