Ambari dev environment for OSX

Hi ­ I wanted to setup a quick dev environment for Ambari, and it looks like
running ambari-server setup, via one of the Linux package installs, is
required. Is there any advice on setting up a dev environment outside of
Linux, such as on OS X? I started to approximate the steps that
ambari-server setup does, but I figured I¹d ask here to see what others are
doing.
