Zhiguo, Apart from Brahma's comment, I've just noticed that there are already 2.5.2.0.0 or 2.7.0.0.0 releases of the ambari-metrics jars in a public repository. e.g., https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.apache.ambari/ambari-metrics-common
Given that, it's somewhat confusing for users to publish our upcoming release as 2.0.0. How about canceling this vote, and publishing it as 2.8.0 or higher?
