Allow targets to be inherited to lower level subprojects like properties

Summary: Allow targets to be inherited to lower level subprojects
                    like properties
           Product: Ant
           Version: 1.5
          Platform: Sun
        OS/Version: Other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Enhancement
          Priority: Other
         Component: Core

        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

When setting up a master buildfile it would be beneficial to allow target
definitions to be inherited by lower level subprojects when using the Ant task.
This would allow for generic targets to be written at the top (like compile)
and to used by all subprojects where the only change would be a property that
defines the source tree for each subproject.
