I created a test + |build.xml +--dir1 +--dir2 The buildfile <project default="zip"> <target name="zip"> <zip destfile="a.zip" basedir="." excludes="*.zip"/> </target> </project> In WinZip you dont see the empty dirs dir1+dir2, but when extracting with WinZip they are created.
