you are correct: I still have to merge this template functionality into the
2.2.x branch.
I've updated the CHANGES.txt some minutes ago, thanks for bringing this to our
attention.

It seems that the Maven template functionality for ivy:makepom wasn't ported
to the branch.
Also I'm listed for IVY-707 in the CHANGES.txt file - it should be IVY-770
instead.
