Sasha Parfenov commented on APEXCORE-293:
-----------------------------------------
Documentation source code will be hosted in apex-core repository on ASF.
Generated documentation can be hosted on apex.incubator.apache.org, but it
involves more steps to process, generate, and deal with document deployments,
when compared with solutions like readthedocs.org, readme.io, etc.
I notice several other Apache projects host their docs outside ASF, including
Apache Ignite (https://apacheignite.readme.io/docs), Apache Libcloud
(https://libcloud.readthedocs.org/en/latest/), Apache Traffic Server
(https://docs.trafficserver.apache.org), etc.
Does ASF mandate that documentation be hosted on apache.org? And if ASF
infrastructure is required, is there a simple solution similar to readthedocs
for markdown docs, which supports multiple release versions, etc?
