Hi Christian & Jürgen,

And thanks for these explanations. I have OO 1.9m121 installed (thanks
to Fink). Should I look for any particular version of the SDK matching
the version of OO I have (and if so, where do I retrieve the source
from) ? What version of OO / OO SDK are you guys using ?

no, the latest available developer builds or RC candidates of the SDK should be fine but you can update to OOo2.0 and the corresponding SDK or RC candidate.
As i mentioned a new native installer based SDK version is coming soon.

Thanks,
Aurelien

Hi Aurelien,

you need to get the source code and build the modules 1) odk and 2)
sdk_oo and of course all of their dependencies (for example odk needs
offapi and udkapi to be built and delivered).
The resulting SDK archive file resides in sdk_oo/<outfolder.pro>/bin/
after you have built sdk_oo. As the patches for the Mac OS X SDK port
are not yet integrated into HEAD you need to apply the patches
attached to that issue before you build.

This will be not enough in the future with the support of nativ
einstaller for the SDK. When the cws sdkinstaller is integrated you have
to build instsetoo_native as well. Move into the directory
instsetoo_native/util and run "dmake sdkoo". This target builds a native
installer for the SDK (<outputtree>/OpenOffice_SDK/...)
The normal zip|tar.gz archive is not longer supported. But if you feel
it should be supported in the future as well, please let me know. I will
integrate a separate target in sdk_oo to build the archive but it won't
be build by default.

That said, in the future I hope that we will have the generated
archive for Mac OS X downloadable from openoffice.org .

Hi all,

I can see from

http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=52510

that there's an ongoing activity to port OOo SDK to Mac OS X.

I'd be much grateful if someone could tell me shortly about the steps
I should take to build the SDK. My goal is to try compiling on Mac OS
X QuantLibAddin Calc add-in
(http://quantlib.org/quantlibaddin/calc.html) which is

currently

running on Linux/Windows only.

Thanks,
Aurelien
