I'm not sure if I understand what you mean. It looks that you are interested in the selected part of a spreadsheet and that you don't get enough information from the selection API. So it seems that the API of a selected object needs to be improved. The purpose of the "view data" goes beyond this. Perhaps you can describe how the selection can be used in VBA and which parts are missing in ours.
