Maybe one category will not be enough. As I understand you, there should be
examples in different languages -- and possibly some examples in more than
one language each.

You are not quite fair. I have to earn a living and I am not payed by SUN (nor
IBM), so my time to spend on OOo in general and on Eclipse with OOo in
particular is limited.

However, I think I begin to understand your point. SUN will (only) support NB
so one should always be able to successfully use it for OOo development.
There is an Eclipse plugin for OOo development, but I don't know how well it
is maintained nor whether it has every functionality that is reasonable and
desirable. My first attempts to use it failed -- it does not even accept the
3.0.1 OOo release (standard installation) in its SDK configuration.

So where do we stand now? I am working through the DevGuide Wiki and offered
my help to improve it as far as the discussion of examples is concerned. This
offer still stands.

I was referred to dev and dev-api to discuss this. As a result I am not so
sure about what is best. Ariel pointed out that "...the SDK
Java examples because they are *very* unmantained, and some of them have
serious issues..." He also suggested that one should wait with work on the
Wiki until he finished his work on the NB projects. Maybe this is the right
way.
