I am new to OOo API. I am currently using a .doc file as a template and

Check boxes can be found at the graphic layer of the document.
In simple basic:
ThisComponent.DrawPage.Forms.getByIndex(0).getByIndex(0)
Setting the properties of those controls is quite different from a
search and replace.
