The ":unsafe" suffix is sufficient, additionally to ensure that only one thread at a time can enter a component the ":affine" suffix ensures that it is always the _same_ thread. This is useful for Windows APIs, which are "thread affine" by themselves, e.g. a window must be destroyed by the thread which created it.
