Something I noticed: when building and installing both a 32 and 64-bit
version of APR, the files in build-1/ do not get installed in the
--exec-prefix location of the configure script. But two files in this
directory do have differences depending on wether a 32 or 64-bit version
of the lib was build:
~/solaris10/apr/1.2.12> diff -rq 32/build-1 64/build-1
Files 32/build-1/apr_rules.mk and 64/build-1/apr_rules.mk differ
Files 32/build-1/libtool and 64/build-1/libtool differ
This means that using
./configure --prefix=/edmond/tools/solaris10/apr/1.2.12 for 32-bit and
./configure --prefix=/edmond/tools/solaris10/apr/1.2.12
--exec-prefix=/edmond/tools/solaris10/apr/1.2.12/64 for 64-bit builds
does not result in a proper installation.
Have I misunderstood something about the use of --exec-prefix or is this
an error?
