An alternative would be to automatically build them on the CI

yes, I mentioned this some time before. Also I found out that the
following links are redirected to 0.9 version of APR instead of version
1.4! These links are used in the ANNOUNCEMENT of new APR releases!

Integrating the doxygen generation into CI would be perfect.
