Hi Ovidiu, the project is still under development, but slow progress at the time, because of the limited resources. If you would like to contribute, it's best to start with a PR.
The master branch is development for the new version 3.0, and there is a lot of refactoring going on. For bugfixes you should use the archiva-2.x branch.
