Tom I was uneasy at some of the things you described about the plugin, but I was curious so I went ahead and tried it.  I really, really like it!  I've never actually used Mylyn before.  (I tried it a long time ago, but I didn't have any projects to test its capabilities).  Very cool stuff.  The ability to focus on the task at hand by only displaying the relevant files is incredibly helpful.
