I was curious: are there any plans for CSS support in ArgoUML?

If not, I would like to present the following suggestions for maximizing reuse of styles:
  • user-level stylesheets
  • project-level
  • package-level
  • diagram-level
This would allow a user to (for example) specify his most common styles in his user-level stylesheet.  That way if he prefers his class diagrams to always be rgb(255, 255, 230) with darker borders, he just writes it once at the user-level stylesheet and ArgoUML will style his class diagrams accordingly thereafter.

The other levels allow for further customization on an as-needed basis while still allowing for extensive re-use.

I've used the presentation tab (in properties panel) in ArgoUML.  I enjoy the effects it creates, but I find the interface a little clunky and extremely slow to use when trying to create uniform colors.

Also, there's been some work done on adopting "universal" color schemes into UML.  See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UML_colors.

I can't code the Java for this, but I'm quite comfortable cranking out large quantities of CSS in short order.  If anyone is interested in taking on the Java part of this, I'd be happy to provide some stylesheets for testing or some default templates for users to start from.
