One quick followup which recent events made me realize might not be obvious -- my continuous integration builds don't cover any of the add-on modules like the code generators, so don't expect to get email if you make a change (to either the core or a module) which breaks a module. I'm not sure if Linus' build sends email for this kinds of failures (I wasn't even aware he was running Hudson until his recent note).
