thanks for your suggestion, this really makes sense:

Yesterday I made the change, so it is in 0.29.3, you can test it. Build-in or 
module based profiled now are referenced using the provided external URL, and 
user profiles get the standard user profile URL plus filename.

The external reference appears in the XMI of a model that references a profile, 
but it is not found in the profile's XMI, just to make it clear.

A last question regarding the profile references that are required in UML2 (and 
that do not exists in UML1): do you think we can drop the .profiles file in 
UML2 projects? I see no point for keeping it, the information is in the model.
