Based on comments I've seen in the source code, I know that there have been CS classes which have developed code for ArgoUML.
If anyone involved in one of those efforts is still on this mailing list, please consider filling out the survey at the link below. I have no more information on this then what you read below. To: Google Summer of Code Mentors List <[email protected]> Sorry for the off-topic message but this was posted to the Teaching Open Source mailing list and I thought this would be the best place to get the word out. Surely someone has this experience. Thanks. --joel sherrill RTEMS Hi listmembers, Do you know of anyone--inside or outside a university--who has had a (high school, college, or university) class develop code for their OSS project? Since there's great interest in using OSS projects in classes, I thought it would be a good topic for a paper. I submitted an abstract to Frontiers in Education, and it was accepted. But it turns out that it's hard to find such people associated with OSS projects (managers, committers, technical leads--they go by different names on different projects). I've obtained input from only a half-dozen people, notably those working with H-FOSS projects such as Sahana. That's enough to write a good abstract. It's not enough to fill a whole paper. So, if you ARE such a person (outside classes have worked on your OSS project), could you fill out my survey at https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dHByQlBBcEhZMWVEeTJ5SGpXam9SeUE6MA#gid=0 ? Or, if you know of someone who might be able to help, could you forward this message and/or send me that person's name and e-mail address?
