Jan Bartel commented on ARIES-1844:
-----------------------------------

Thanks for the release of spifly 1.1.

I updated jetty-9.4.x to use it and came across a problem that was difficult to
diagnose. I thought I'd mention it here FYI.  The problem arises from the hard
dependency on org.apache.felix.framework: when running pax-exam unit tests, it
appears that the felix framework was put on the classpath, and conflicting with
the eclipse container that I use with pax. When I excluded it from my spifly
dependency, all the tests started to work.  It seems the spifly bundle embeds
private copies of all its dependencies, so maybe it would be possible to make
asm and felix optional dependencies in the pom?

> Would like to see SPI Fly be upgraded to support ASM 7, so that Java 11
> runtimes can start to work with ServiceLoader behaviors.
