Most relevant topics there end up either as a github issue or over this mailing list. On this note, hat tip to Andrew, who has been doing a lot of the curation. There are other informal discussions, more about Rust lang developments, projects using DataFusion, practical questions, etc. Being both on Slack and ursalab's Zulip, I would say they are at the same level: some initial discussion over some idea => move it to issue tracker / mailing list.
