Hi team, This mailing list is to discuss whether it is possible to sponsor the upstream open source (personal) projects.
In our Arrow projects, we use some personal open source project as dependencies, such as the https://github.com/starkat99/half-rs is used in arrow-rs. These open-source projects help the Arrow go further and better. So it is encouraging if we could sponsor them to express our thanks. And this could also expand the reach of the Arrow project. There are some ways of sponsoring, for example the "GitHub Sponsor" is widely used in the open-source world. I'm not sure if we could do sponsoring on behalf of the ASF or the Arrow PMC.
