Reviewing the doc, specifically around dictionary encoding it was strange for me to see "dictionary" expressed at the same level of "type". Stylistically, I think it could be good to have the "type" property contain all of the type information including the dictionary encoding i.e. "type" set to "dictionary" just like it does for lists and structs.
