Hello Arrow community! I'm writing to see if any of you would be interested in joining the open source community at Lakehouse Day EU 2026!
Lakehouse Day will take place on Saturday, October 10 in Glasgow, Scotland, co-located with Community Over Code and hosted by the Apache Software Foundation. It's a full-day, multi-track event dedicated to open lakehouse technologies under the ASF umbrella, with content covering Apache Iceberg, Flink, Spark, Arrow, Parquet, Polaris, Gravitino, Paimon, Hudi, XTable, Fluss, and more. We've deliberately created Lakehouse Day to bring folks from across these projects together under one roof to meet, discuss, and share ideas. This year, the schedule includes a talk on revisiting the case for Arrow-based client protocol redesign, plus a closing panel on the future of the open lakehouse! Even if Community Over Code isn't usually on your radar, standalone Lakehouse Day tickets are available [1] for $85. You can also bundle with a Community Over Code pass for an overall discount. If you register with an apache.org email, you'll get committer pricing. Take a look at the full schedule [2] and reach out if you have any questions. Hope to see some of you there!
