Hi Auron Community， The Project Management Committee (PMC) for Apache Auron (Incubating) has invited Shilun Fan to become a committer and we are pleased to announce that he has accepted.
There have been many commits since his first commit to Auron on Sep 23, 2025, and he has been highly active since then, focusing on: - Implementing native functions and Apache Iceberg integration - Driving Spark 4.x compatibility support - Fixing critical bugs including JVM crashes and thread-safety issues - Modernizing the build system (JDK 21, JUnit 5, Maven improvements) - Improving code quality and documentation Given his dedication, technical depth, and consistent contributions, I believe Shilun Fan would be a strong addition to the committer team.
