Hello.
I've been working on a new application recently that I have running (mostly) in Fortress, Merlin, and Phoenix. One thing I've noticed is that all three have different doclet tags for generating meta-info. I can understand they might have different meta-info formats, but doclet tags too?
Yep - different bredth of requirements:
Requirement Fortress Merlin Phoenix ---------------------------------------------------- - Version - yes yes - Attributes - yes - - Name yes yes yes - Config Schema - - yes - Config Defaults - yes - - Context Type - yes - - Context Entries - yes - - Service Export yes yes yes - Dependencies - yes yes - Lifecycle Stage yes yes - - Lifecycle Handling yes yes - - Management Int. - - yes - Lifestyle yes yes - - Logging - yes -
Perhaps I missed the conversation somewhere, but is there a plan to establish a single set of tags that can be used with all three containers?
We have established a LCD set (which is a start but only really useful for Fortress). In principal the Merlin/Phoenix set could be converged reasonably easily as part of an expanded standard set that maintains consistency with the AMTAGS set.
Cheers, Steve.
