I don't. I just don't have enough time/will to argue. :-)
I can relate to that. Writing unit tests probably takes up all your time and energy ;-)
If here at avalon we know UT aren't evil, its a good start, isn't? :-)
A couple of months ago I was at a conference (JAX 2003) and, among other things, test-driven development was a big topic there. The unwashed masses flocked to the presentations and you could see in their eyes a faint glimmer of hope that maybe, finally, everything would be ok. There was a technology, which for the first time seemed to promise not technical, but social and organisational benefits.
I think test-driven development is half up the Peak of Inflated Expectations(*). We'll see where it takes us.
