Not that this should hold up the release, but do we have a change logs for
these?

We really should be using JIRA to track this.  I'm as guilty as everyone
else in not keeping JIRA up to date, but it would help us make sure
everything is in line for a release and pinpoint what changes go with what
versions.  That is the case for the merlin-related components I believe, but
not necessarily true for the Avalon framework, logkit, cornerstone, and
excalibur releases.
