If we're going to allow unicode names, I'd opt for the unicode identifier
standard. See [https://unicode.org/reports/tr31/]
Specifically, this includes some normalisation (NFKC modifications), e.g.
combining marks are always separate from the character they're combined with.
Note though, that we then also need to consider security. See
[https://www.unicode.org/reports/tr36/#Recommendations_General]; recommendation
B applies in full, A should be adapted (i.e., disallow identifiers with mixed
scripts). Maybe we should further restrict identifiers to recommended scripts
only ([https://unicode.org/reports/tr31/#Table_Recommended_Scripts]).
