Hi everyone,

I propose to continue a tradition of publishing new blog post for Beam web site
(as it was positively accepted by community before) with announce of the key
features/fixes incorporated in new release. To do that for upcoming release
(2.5.0), I created a draft document of this future post:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BeqHuH1U8iOFJWTfFPW_4O2HtLRZm9rlnEUyMB6Eq7M/edit?usp=sharing

I added there details based on June newsletter and Jira filter but this
document still misses key items for several important features, like - Beam
SQL, Schema-Aware PCollections and Portability. I’d kindly ask the
contributors, who was involved in development of these features, to add some
details about what was included in this release and what deserves to be
mentioned in this blog post.

Also, if any other topics should be added, removed or completed then, please,
feel free to do that too. In the same time, as we discussed before, this post
should cover only major things since the detailed report will be included in
release notes.

Once this document will be completed and agreed, I’ll transfer it into markdown
page for Beam web site.

Please, let me know if there are any objections or suggestions about that.

WBR,
Alexey
