Hey everyone, I've put together a brief doc around migrating some GCP-related Beam Python code off of the now-deprecated apitools library:

This wound up being a long-term blocker for Python 3.13 support in Beam, as a new apitools release had to be cut for the first time in four years to support the language version. In the short term this should be relatively stable as changes were made to apitools in order to support Python 3.14 as well; however, for long-term maintainability we should migrate our usage to more modern GCP libraries that are actively maintained.
