Thought I'd introduce myself to the and hit you up for some pointers :)
My name is Michael Bowman. I'm a fairly experienced (2 yrs professionally) Java developer, though I do have experience with Python, Perl, and C++ (from my college days) as well. Linux w/Gnome is my primary OS.
I see *tons* of potential in this project and would really like to get involved.
So I checked out OpenOffice from cvs head, but then as I was browsing the site, saw that doing a full build is not something one should do. Could anyone point me to some docs on building only sub sections (in particular bibliographic) and running them? Also, are there any docs/emails anywhere on getting a new developer ramped up and working with your source code?
