Roman Shaposhnik commented on BIGTOP-1110:
------------------------------------------

A bit of time has passed since we last discussed BOM for 0.8.0. Quite a few
projects moved on with releases and I'd like to propose my updated
understanding of what may make sense for us. We can still tweak it somewhat,
but I think it gives a good flavor for what 0.8.0 is (at least in my mind):

OS:
   * CentOS6, CentOS7, Fedora 20
   * SLES11sp3, OpenSUSE 13.1
   * Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
Java:
   * JDK7/OpenJDK7
Projects:
   * Zookeeper 3.4.5
   * Hadoop 2.4
   * HBase 0.98
   * Pig 0.12
   * Hive 0.12
   * Sqoop 2
   * Oozie 4.1.0
   * Whirr 0.8.2
   * Mahout 0.8.1
   * Flume 1.4.0
   * Giraph 1.1.0
   * Hue 3.5.0
   * DataFU 1.0.0
   * Solr 4.6.0
   * Crunch 0.8.1
   * Spark 0.9
   * Phoenix 2.0.2
   * Tomcat 6.0.36
   * jsvc 1.0.10
