Cross compiling for 1.6 with 1.7 does seem to work by specifying the target
switch alone but this can mask issues with the JRE. It should work based on my
testing, but to be 100% sure of success when cross compiling, specify to the
compiler a boot classpath pointing at the 1.6 JRE.
