More detail as to what I am interested in.
I am looking to partner with local or regional computer hardware
retailers selling to the small business market.
Specifically, to work on conversion from vertical market applications or
in-house applications built on MS Winodos/Office to Linux/OO.o or MS
Windows/OO.o.
Most specifically, to offer my services as a sub_contractor when this
includes conversion of MS Access / FoxPro / Other database applications.
This might include the need to retain a MS Server running the legacy
database engine and support system reports and interfaces to third
parties ( their accountant's system for example ) but want to convert
the UI on the workstations to Base. It could also include the migration
to a new server platform and front end vertical market application, in
which case I could offer services to handle the schema and data
migration and inevitable conversion. In this role I can offer experience
in working during the dev/test./cut_over periods when the two systems
run in some sort of linked fashion.
Further I am interested in offering these services in a region defined
by Pittsburgh, PA, Harrisburgh, PA, Hagerstown, MD, Keyser, WV and
Morgantown, WV.
Thank you
Drew Jensen
