Basically (from memory, so take it with caution): 1) for bloodhound_theme (for instance), download the .po file from Transifex and put it in bloodhound_theme/bhtheme/locale/fr/LC_MESSAGES/bhtheme.po (in your dev directory if you installed in dev mode or in the virtualenv directory if you installed normally) 2) Go to bloodhound_theme directory and execute "python setup.py compile_catalog -l fr" (for javascript, use bhtheme-js.po and compile_catalog_js instead) To generate the messages for translation, this is different.
