I also experienced this. While the original curl command was stuck, I ran the
same curl command manually (from that same VM), and it completed in a timely
manner. I couldn't see anything to tell us why it was stuck, and nothing to see
how to get it un-stuck.
Unless we can find someone else who has encountered + fixed this, then
retry-logic might be our best best.
