Hello, There is a series of long-standing bugs in Calcite in the implementation of casts and arithmetic. I plan to submit fixes for many of these. This PR https://github.com/apache/calcite/pull/3522 is one on which more fixes will be based. I would appreciate if anyone could review it.
If there are no reviewers my plan is to bite the bullet and merge it anyway, since it has been submitted 2 months ago. Thank you, Mihai
