Claus, are you opposed to using JMX APIs to get to these metrics? I built a
custom web console for a client last year to manage Camel routes and ActiveMQ
queues using JMX APIs. I could integrate a similar approach with the camel-web
project to meet this and a few other requirements. The attached patch has a
basic implementation of this (adding "ExchangesCompleted" count to the route
list page). Let me know if you like this approach and I'll take it a bit
further...thanks
