I think that and deployment hints would be awesome.
I always end up looking at the unit tests anyways.

I was thinking something like:

Deployment hints 

For example, the bean-validator will not deploy and work as expected in SMX if 
the servicemix specs are not => version 1.6 (Which right now is a snapshot)
