I just checked the test sources of this module and in fact there's a flag called 'systemReady' for this which on Windows gets disabled. Thanks for the hint.
Though still a question: As you see by my previous post on this thread, the provided patch by the user for CAMEL-5506 did *not* include the changes being committed for POM. Removing both those changes last night speeded up the run on OS-X for me (because of forkMode). Do you maybe remember the reason for those changes being committed?
