Hi Cameleers, as you might have noticed, there are a number of students interested in contributing to Camel as a part of GSoC, so far Andrea and myself have signed up as mentors. Last year we had three students and that was the capacity that we could cope with with just two mentors.
For more students, to track their work, keep them motivated and engaged we need more mentors. Please read about mentoring at the GSoC site[1] and if this is something that you can take on, please step up and follow the instructions on the GSoC blog post[2]. Also, this is a good opportunity to go through the issues in JIRA and flag any interesting issues with `gsoc2020` label, and any easy to get started with issues with `help-wanted` label so interested students can have a look at some simple tasks to get started. zoran [1] https://google.github.io/gsocguides/mentor/ [2] https://camel.apache.org/blog/GSoC-2020-announced/ On Mon, Feb 24, 2020 at 11:20 AM Zoran Regvart <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi Cameleers, > if anyone would like to mentor in this years Google Summer of Code, > please follow the instructions below. > > zoran > > ---------- Forwarded message --------- > From: Maxim Solodovnik <[email protected]> > Date: Fri, Feb 21, 2020 at 4:52 AM > Subject: Google Summer of Code 2020 Mentor Registration > To: <[email protected]> > > > Dear PMCs, > > I'm happy to announce that the ASF has made it onto the list of > accepted organizations for > Google Summer of Code 2020!
