Hi Cameleers, in the past we had discussed the MDC and the opportunity to eventually deprecate it. I understand that the feature, although old fashioned, still has some good use case scenarios. However, the way it's actually implemented in Camel is making its management and evolution a bit difficult. I came up with a proposal [1] which I'd like to discuss in order to introduce a new possible design and still make use of MDC but in an easier and more consistent way. I'd like to collect some opinion around the feasibility I'm describing in the PR, so, please, help me by having a look and confirming if the new design can work or any potential problem I haven't seen.
