To get Cassandra 4.0 working on arm64 we have a number of dependencies we need to upgrade. See CASSANDRA-16384, CASSANDRA-16392 and CASSANDRA-15889.
CASSANDRA-16384 requires the major version upgrade from chronicle-queue 4 to 5. A consequence[1] of this is any external trailers (consumers) must also be upgraded to version 5. This is a breakage of our Beta Release Lifecycle rules[2]. Chronicle-queue is used by Auditing, FQL, and Diagnostic Events. I would like to request an exception to the Beta release to get the upgrade in place and to support arm64. Does anyone have any objection or concern to the upgrade?
