Hi, just to let you know that we have added a Castor XML HOW-TO section to the user documentation (in CVS only, for the time being) - similar to the HOW-To section that has been added some weeks ago to Castor JDO. Please have a look at the src/xml-howto directory to get an idea how such an HOW-TO document could and should be structured.
This is more or less a reminder that Castor still is an open source project, and that the project as well as its user community depends upon contributions from you, our users. Whilst we - the committers - try everything to make your life easier in terms of fixing bugs, supporting you via the mailing lists, helping you with issues, this is still an open source project where we don't get paid for our activities; and hence rely on our (limited) spare time to provide you with this kind of service. As such, I hereby invite everybody to share his knowledge with us and the users, and contribute their skills and "stories" to the project in form of - for example - a HOW-To document. Whether it's something as trivial as a HOW-TO about how to supply us with a patch, or about HOW-TO enable XML parser validation with Castor XML. Whether complicated or trivial, it will be appreciated. Whatever you regard of any value to all the other users, please send it our way and we'll make sure that it will get added to the HOW-TO section in due time.
