Hi Bill, While I can't say without investigation whether the latest Velocity is fully compatible with Cayenne 3.1.1, you can definitely try to upgrade Velocity and see if it works. And BTW, if you are not using SQLTemplate in the code, you can even completely exclude Velocity from dependencies.
I didn't understand your question about turning off Velocity logging. Could you explain what the problem is?
