A number of the dataset processor functions don't properly (re)assign a
Dataset's optional parameters when performing some operation. Many of them
don't propagate the origin parameter and many of the kwargs are passed as
positional arguments. This ends up being rather brittle when changes/additions
are made to dataset.py
